AKRIILA

Better known as Akriila, Fernanda Sepúlveda is a Chilean rapper, singer, and songwriter. An appearance at Primavera Sound Chile paved the way for 001, a 2022 mixtape that introduced her transgressive outlook and sound. Akriila kept refining her style in Epistolares, her acclaimed 2024 debut album for Lotus Records, which fused urbano and maximalist pop with experimental, disruptive elements and confessional lyrics, sometimes veering into social or political commentary -- the artist is also a noted LGBTIQ+ activist. An expanded edition with six more tracks, among these the hit "Mal Comunicada," appeared the following year, as well as an electronic three-track EP with producer Dinamarca titled Headphones!
