bLAck pARty

Malik Flint, also known as bLAck pARty, is an Arkansas-born, LA-based multihyphenate whose sound transcends tropical funk, incorporating afrobeats, hip-hop, dashes of country and R&B. With Los Angeles and Little Rock embedded into his name, bLAck pARty as a student of sunlight, transforming natural flora and fauna into lush soundscapes that capture the image of a sandy paradise. After executive producing Kari Faux’s first EP, Lost En Los Angeles, bLAck pARty caught the eyes of Issa Rae and Donald Glover. Since the 2016 release of his first project, Mango, bLAck pARty has since soundtracked episodes of Insecure, composed for Atlanta, and contributed to Childish Gambino’s Awaken, My Love!.
