About
Captivate is a producer and DJ based on the ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. His music pushes bass-forward sounds with deep roots in the past, drawing from 90s UK rave music, Jamaican soundsystem culture, leftfield techno & ambient music. Unbound by genre, his DJ sets shapeshift between styles and tempos, instead focusing on mood, narrative, and rhythmic exploration. He has shared his craft at renowned festivals such as Bass Coast and Shambhala, and his music has garnered strong support from many of his influences, including Om Unit, J:Kenzo, and Doctor Jeep.
