About
City 17 is an LA/Seattle based DJ duo, Felipe Pereira and Justin Anderson, who produce memorable, hard-hitting dance tracks. Both artists possess well-rounded musical backgrounds and constantly try to expand popular foundations that make the EDM music spectrum what it is today. City 17's highly energetic performance and excitement for music pair perfectly with their catchy melodic and aggressive tracks. Their most recent achievement includes opening at the Lights All Night Festivalin Dallas, TX. for producers Tiesto, Zedd, and Avicci, as well as signing a 5 track EP to SectionZ Records, featuring their award winning track Ignite It. Music is just as important as any other part of our lives. It enforces memories, makes you think, helps you cope, and makes life just a little more real and vivid. It ties you to people, compliments your identity, and is a huge part (in general) of what makes us human. Someone without music in their life is not getting the full spectrum of what it has to offer. Both of us in City 17 feel like music easily takes us to another place, whether it's new or nostalgic. It's the reason why we do this is the first place. In general, we have both been passionate about games and the journey they take you on, and this name was a good way to convey how our music makes us feel.
