Ear's textured, lo-fi sound borrows from indietronica, IDM, glitch pop, and 2000s bloghouse. The duo of Jonah Paz and Yaelle Avtan met in Upstate New York in 2024 and quickly found success with their first single, "Nerves." A self-released full-length, The Most Dear and the Future, appeared the following year, earning critical acclaim and a record deal from A24 Music. After a sold-out tour of Europe, Ear made their label debut with 2026's Rumspringa.
