About
Encounters, from Bay Area based producer Tyler Hovestadt, is a downtempo electronic project blending ambient, downtempo, and live percussion that seeks to find balance between organic musicality and electronic exploration. In August 2022, Encounters released his debut "A Path Beyond" followed by "A Path Beyond Remixed" in 2023, “Circuit Breaks” in 2024, “Purple Thumb” in 2025 with “Veil of Echoes”, his first full length album, released near the end of 2025. Encounters has performed at electronic music festivals in Europe and America including appearances at Astronox, Infrasound and Stilldream, as well as supporting renowned artists such as Carbon Based Lifeforms, Bluetech, Desert Dwellers and Kaya Project.
