Ichiko Aoba

Musician, born in 1990. Since her debut in 2010, she has released eight original albums. Centered on classical guitar, her delicate sound, dreamlike voice, and poetic sensibility have earned her widespread acclaim both in Japan and abroad. She began performing internationally in earnest in 2021, appearing at numerous international music festivals. In January 2025, Aoba marked the 15th anniversary of her debut with the release of her latest album, Luminescent Creatures. The accompanying world tour saw her perform in more than 80 cities across Asia, Europe, Oceania, North America, and South America — a journey that effectively circled the globe twice. The tour included appearances at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Royal Albert Hall and Walt Disney Concert . In addition to her Wednesday DJ slot on FM Kyoto's FLAG RADIO every odd-numbered month, she is active across writing, narration, film composition, and arts festival performances.
