Jake Bugg

Raised on a steady diet of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and the brothers Gallagher, English singer/songwriter Jake Bugg's bluesy, Brit-pop-forward indie folk pairs working-class swagger with wry, weathered romanticism. He found success in 2012 with his Mercury Prize-nominated eponymous debut album, which included the hit singles "Two Fingers" and "Lightning Bolt." He continued to develop his sound on subsequent efforts like the Rick Rubin-produced Shangri La (2013) and the Dan Auerbach-produced Hearts That Strain (2017), introducing elements of country-rock and Americana into the mix. In 2021, he embraced a hooky blend of pop/rock with Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. The album cracked the top Ten in the U.K. and paved the way for 2024's A Modern Day Distraction.
