Formed at Berklee in 1996 and later relocating to San Diego, Jejune burned bright through the golden era of ’90s emo as melodic outsiders threading pop sensibility through post-hardcore sincerity. Across releases like Junk and This Afternoon’s Malady, they helped define the second wave of emo: hook-heavy, heart-on-sleeve, and never afraid to let a song breathe.
