About
100% vinyl, 303% acid! Saskia Slegers, better known as Miss Djax, or as many say ‘The Acid Queen’, is living proof that age doesn’t necessarily always bring peace. She started her DJ career at the age of sixteen, in the golden disco era, long before the birth of house music. At the age of twenty she played the bass guitar in a new wave band. In 1989 she started Djax Records, one of the first techno labels. The ferocious releases on Djax-Up-Beats helped Chicago and Detroit artists gain a foothold in Europe. From 1990 on she got booked at international raves and clubs and when in 1992 she played at the Mayday rave in Berlin her DJ career got a kickstart. Since then she was booked at all international major festivals and raves and her name and label were listed in the top 10 rankings of many magazines for many years to follow. Four years, from 1995 to 1998 inclusive, Miss Djax had her own float at the notorious Love Parade in Berlin. In 1998 she even had start number one and guided her silver/red rocket with 10.000 watt techno power on board through the immense crowd. She also played two times at the Victory Tower at the Love Parade for millions of people. Anno 2026 Miss Djax is still going strong. As trends come and go she sticks to her own thing and she still plays vinyl only. As a producer she is more busier then ever, last year she released eight singles and videos and there’s a lot more to come this year. ACID WILL NEVER DIE!
