About
Japanese pop idol trio Perfume debuted in the late 2000s with their double-platinum breakthrough, Game, the first showcase for their high-BPM techno-dance anthems. From there, they remained at the top of the Japanese pop charts, delivering reliably energetic excursions fit for intergalactic dancefloors. Their third set, 2011's JPN, broke them in markets across Asia and in the U.S., where their follow-up, 2013's Level3, rose into the Billboard World Albums Top Five. The group closed the decade with additional international hits Cosmic Explorer and Future Pop. In 2022, they returned to the Top Ten of the Oricon Albums Chart with the full-length Plasma, followed by the 2023 single "Moon."
