<b>In the artist’s words:</b> <b>Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.</b> My parents bought me a guitar as a finishing school present. I was 16, and was writing for my personal blog and for surfing magazines. Writing songs turned out to be a very natural extension of my creative interests as a whole. We depend on trees for the oxygen we breathe, the earth for our food and water, on others for support and love. This song is a celebration of the healthy things and people to whom we're truly dependent. <b>What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?</b> Carving my own path in the music industry is something I am proud of. I was curious if it could be done, to stay independent and have international success on our own terms. I’ve been lucky to find that with the family I have at Commonfolk <b>Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?</b> Plenty more I want to do, see and experience. What I have learnt is that even when you make plans, the universe may have other ones (haha).
